When a crew of small human-like aliens arrive on Earth in a ship designed to look like their captain, they encounter problems when their ship becomes

A spaceship shaped like a human lands face first on Liberty Island. Its crew of tiny, intelligent, and unemotional beings, is looking for an orb sent from its planet to extract the oceans’ salt, which will ruin Earth. The orb is in the possession of Josh, the fifth-grade son of a single mom whose car strikes the ambulatory alien spaceship and cripples its power supply. The crew has 48 hours to recover the orb, throw it in the Atlantic, and leave Earth. Over the course of two days, the ship’s crew experiences chaos and emotion in New York. Do Earth’s giants, Josh and his mom, have anything to teach these brainy aliens. Meanwhile, mutiny is afoot and the cops are closing in.
This is a very good and clean movie that the whole family can enjoy. This movie is suitable for all ages, which is very rare these days. Overall a decent and funny movie.

Meet Dave was a light-hearted bit of fun with the life-sized Eddie Murphy being a space ship to transport a miniture himself to earth along with his crew.

Murphy does some very funny routines which have not been part of any of his other movies, in specch and in actions and the movie was funny and entertaining as the spaceman has to interact with strangers on another planet – earth.

Bought it for my godson easter as we saw movie together and had great laughs (and he did again he told me). Poor delivery after over 2 weeks, product hasn’t yet arrived even on UPS. Amazon swiftly replaced it and sent it at no charge. So great. BUT…then received returning “eticketing” and was told to resend a package which hasn’t arrived otherwise my credit card would be charged. Told Amazon they should hassle carrier which hasn’t “kept his promise”, organise quality service rather than hassle customer. Especially when i’m in europe and the whole issue happens in USA, it was a present and i have to hassle friends i wanted to treat because of unefficient, uncustomer friendly carrier. I told friends not to bother. If i have to pay twice, so be it. Next time i won t use Amazon in USA – not because of their service but because of their carrier unservice.

Fantastic Mr. Fox (Three-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo + Digital Copy)

When I saw previews for this film in the theatre, by wife and I exchanged eye-rolls. So when I borrowed a friend’s copy out of sheer boredom with the current panoply of predictable, music video children’s films, my expectations were low. In fact, we began this film close to the kid’s bedtime so I’d have a reasonable excuse to bail out early.

Well, the kids loved this movie and so did I. It’s wonderfully paced, the animal characters are idiosyncratic and immensely likable, and the dialogue is conversational and amusing. I don’t like when an animated children’s film includes a stratum of adult innuendo. That, to me, is targeted marketing, and those carefully distributed oblique references that make mom and dad chuckle exist to compensate for a weak story. No gimmicks here. Funny situations, cleverly crafted characters, technically superb animation, and a novel story.

We’ve must’ve seen it 10x since that first night. Any other film and I would have accidentally lost the video by now.

I believe that this is the Seller “the Movie Lounge” I recieved my copy, my Chinese bootleg copy of the Fantastic Mr.Fox. Yes the sleeve was made of laser paper. Not to mention the fake plastic Blu-Ray sleeve. If this is the seller “The Movie Lounge” I say don’t buy. I repeat don’t buy.

This movie was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. I was a little worried about the animation but it turns out it was great and actually enhanced the movie. It has a great story and it’s not too dark and it has wonderful characters. I’m not cussing with you here, this really is a fantastic movie.

Office Space (Special Edition with Flair!) [Blu-ray]

Follows the adventures of corporate employees who hate their jobs and decide to rebel against their greedy boss.

I thought this movie was hilarious even before I started working in an office. In a twist of fate, I ended up working for a slightly less competent version of a Lumbergh, and now it’s even MORE hilarious! I don’t know what’s worse, the boss giving you the same instructions 3 times (including 2 written forms) or the copy machine breaking down because it doesn’t like yellow paper. Piece of trash. No way you cant relate to at least one thing in this movie! It is pure comedy AWESOMENESS!

My favorite character is Dietrich Bader, the next door neighbor. This is a perfect movie, a classic rewatchable good time along the lines of The Ref and Princess Bride and Goonies. This is the movie that I recommend without qualification to foreign students of English. This is also the best role of Jennifer Aniston’s career.

Sideways [Blu-ray]

ACADEMY AWARD WINNER BEST ADAPTED SCREENPLAY WINNER OF 2 GOLDEN GLOBES, INCLUDING BEST PICTURE (COMEDY / MUSICAL)

In this intoxicating, intelligent comedy, director Alexander Payne (Election, About Schmidt) serves up “one of the best movies of the year” (Entertainment Weekly) about the ups, downs and sideways journeys of life. A wine-tasting road trip through California’s famed Central Coast takes an unexpected detour as Miles (Paul Giamatti) and Jack (Thomas Haden Church) hit the gas en route to their mid-life crisis. The comically mismatched pair soon find themselves drowning in wine, women… and laughter!

This is, far and away, my favorite movie of all time. The first time I saw it, I watched it 3 times back to back. The Blu-Ray release, while not stunning, is definitely worth buying. A few notes, however:

The video quality really is about on par with the DVD release. I’m willing to bet that this was due to the equipment that this was originally filmed with. This is an independent movie filmed on a relatively small budget, so the quality is about as good as it’s likely to get.

But, the commentary is fantastic and well worth the price. And the price, for a Blu Ray disc, is definitely right. Good luck finding another movie, let alone a good one, on Blu Ray, for about .
