Disney Meet the Robinsons (Blu-ray)Lewis an orphan wants to see what his mother looked like. So he invents a machine that looks through your brain so youcan see your memories. But this weird kid says he’s from the future and warns him about a guy in a bowler hat. The bowler hat guy messes with his invention and it fails. He decides that he’s a failure and no one wants him. But the kid that warned him about the guy is here on a mission to find the bowler hat guy that wants to destroy Lewis. To prove he’s from the future he takes lewis to the future. But the time machine breaks and he’s stuck in the future until he fixes it. In the meantime he spends quality time with the family. But the bowler hat guy is about to alter time and it’s up to Lewis to save the future.

Until I saw this movie, Cars and Toy Story 2 were my favorite kid movies. We rented this for our 4 year old and I wasn’t very interested in watching it since I didn’t know much about it. I reluctantly sat down and was hooked! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie. Since we rented it a few weeks ago, I’ve watched this movie about 15 times already, start to finish. I’m a huge movie person, and not usually big on kid movies, and I LOVE this movie. It’s fun, has a great message, and I just love the ending. Sure, it’s sappy but it gets me every time – yes, I’m a weeper and I literally weep every single time I watch the ending. I’m a 34 year old adult who only recently started watching kid movies b/c of our own child and this is one of the best I’ve seen, actually for me – a mom, THE best. I’m just sad there isn’t a Meet the Robinsons 2.

I first saw this movie on TV (Disney Channel) and was in love with it immediately. My toddler son who doesn’t really sit still long enough for a movie loved it too! The story is original, creative, and heartening. The end will surprise most viewers. The blue ray makes the graphics even more amazing. I am sad that that it is not as popular as “Toy Story” or “Cars” because it is a really great movie! Disney would be smart to make a ride/attraction out of this movie! 5 stars all the way!
