Office Space (Special Edition with Flair!) [Blu-ray] Reviews By Customers
I thought this movie was hilarious even before I started working in an office. In a twist of fate, I ended up working for a slightly less competent version of a Lumbergh, and now it’s even MORE hilarious! I don’t know what’s worse, the boss giving you the same instructions 3 times (including 2 written forms) or the copy machine breaking down because it doesn’t like yellow paper. Piece of trash. No way you cant relate to at least one thing in this movie! It is pure comedy AWESOMENESS!
Ron Livingston looks like a toddler in play shorts. – Cleo – USA
My favorite character is Dietrich Bader, the next door neighbor. This is a perfect movie, a classic rewatchable good time along the lines of The Ref and Princess Bride and Goonies. This is the movie that I recommend without qualification to foreign students of English. This is also the best role of Jennifer Aniston’s career.
Kudos on a job well done! – N. Saranchuk – Hudson Bay, Sask CA
I have previously ordered a few different products through Amazon.com and have never been let down yet. This movie arrived even earlier than expected and in great condition. Good job & keep up the good work.(If you haven’t seen this movie yet, watch it. It’s awesome!)

Trading Places (Looking Good, Feeling Good Edition) [Blu-ray] Reviews By Customers
Three things influenced my financial life in the 80′s and lead me to trading.
1) The movie Trading Places
2) The movie Wallstreet
3) “How to make ,000,000 in the Stock Market Automatically” by Robert Lichello
It is because of these 3 items that when I grew up, I traded; first stocks, then commodities, then options, then taught options trading; then traded Forex; then taught Forex.
This movie, is probably my all-time favorite movie. I believe this is an inspirational movie; and unlike the movies of today, this thing has it all; plot, good guys, bad guys, and no Ben Affleck.
If you’ve never seen this movie, you’ve never lived. Three Thumbs Up!
An 80s Classic – Jade – MI, USA
Eddie Murphy, Dan Aykroyd and Jamie Lee Curtis at their best. I love also that in Eddie’s next movie ‘Coming To America’ they had the two rich old dudes in the movie. 80s classic. Giving the movie 4 out of 5 cuz I prefer it in full screen format and the original movie cover.
One of My Favorite Christmas Movies – Zircon5 – Caifornia
This is a great comedy for the holidays. Dan Akroyd and Eddie Murphy are two of my favorites, and they give excellent performances in this classic comedy about two men having their lives swapped at the whims of some old rich white guys.

Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen and Leslie Mann star in this seriously funny film from writer-director Judd Apatow (The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up). When famous comedian George Simmons (Sandler) is given a second chance at a new beginning, he and his assistant, a struggling comedian, Ira (Rogen), return to the places and people that matter most…including the stand-up spots that gave him his start and the girl that got away (Mann). Co-starring Jonah Hill, Eric Bana and Jason Schwartzman, it’s the film critics cheer is “uproariously funny!” (Sonny Bunch, The Washington Times)
Funny People (2-Disc Unrated Collector’s Edition) [Blu-ray] Reviews By Customers
So I just watched Funny People. For a movie that has an all star cast, it was a great movie. If you want to see a movie filled with laughs and a good story pick this movie up. I promise you won’t regret it.
Meanders More Than The Mighty Mississip – D. Mikels – Skunk Holler
Around 110 minutes into this Judd Apatow marathon I started checking my watch. And then I found myself rooting for an ending. . .any ending. Just end movie, end. Yet FUNNY PEOPLE mercilessly droned on for another half hour, culminating in predictable endings for the story’s alleged love triangle and friendship between the two central male characters (Adam Sandler and Seth Rogan). Which begs the question: If everyone watching knows what’s going to happen, why not wrap this puppy up and be done with it?
Granted, Apatow is attempting a darker story than his zany earlier offerings. Sandler plays a comedic superstar who learns he’s ailing from a deadly blood disease; accordingly Sandler deadpans this role, which only makes him completely and irretrievably unlikable. Rogan as the nobody friend of Sandler actually has some funny moments as he develops his standup routine over the course of the film, yet unfortunately there are too few of them to salvage a movie that meanders and sloshes its way to a yawnfest ending. Eric Bana is actually refreshing playing the hubby of Sandler’s former love interest (Leslie Mann, anyone?), yet he arrives too late for his energy to create any positive effect. The ensemble cast (including Jonah Hill, Aubrey Plaza, and Jason Schwartzman) even looks tired and bored as FUNNY PEOPLE enters its second hour–quite the contrast from Apatow’s The 40-Year-Old Virgin, a comedy Apatow has yet to successfully replicate.
–D. Mikels, Author, The Reckoning
Flawed, but still a misunderstood and underappreciated film. – B. Adducchio –
The movie Funny People has baffled many of Sandler and Apatow’s fans because it’s very different from each man’s respective work. But that doesn’t mean that the film is weaker by any means. Yes, the film is flawed, it’s too long, and draggy in parts. The last 45 to 60 minutes seem disjointed, compared to the first half of the film that focuses on Sandler’s relationship with Ira, Seth Rogen’s character.
But it’s also a very clever blend of comedy and drama, which is very difficult to put together in most contemporary films. I really believe this is Sandler’s best role, a mature man filled with loneliness and regret. It’s an honest examination of how far a man will go to correct all of the mistakes he’s made in his life.
Sandler is the star of the show, and anyone expecting the caricature that Dennis Dugan has created of Sandler should walk away. Sandler isn’t doing Billy Madison, or Little Nicky here. This is Sandler playing a comedian with more depth.
The relationship between Sandler and Rogen is explored really well. Of course, I would rather see Apatow focus the whole movie on their relationship, rather than his relationship with Leslie Mann, but at least you can’t fault Apatow for his ambitious vision.
The film bites off more than it can chew, but I really do believe it’s one of the best comedies of the decade, and the highlight of Sandler’s career.

Coyote Ugly (The Double-Shot Edition) [Blu-ray] Reviews By Customers
Although panned by critics, “Coyote Ugly” was geared toward the young female audience who could identify with a young woman trying to make it in New York City. Violet (Piper Perabo) heads to New York City to make it as a singer, but finds the road to success is tougher than anticipated. Violet gets a job as a waitress in the real life bar the Coyote Ugly and it is there that she makes new friends, while showing the world how great a singer she is. LeAnn Rimes did the actual singing of the Violet character as Perabo’s vocals were dubbed. Rimes also makes a special guest appearance in the movie.
The film was a modest success at the boxoffice, but more importantly, the soundtrack became huge, going 4X Platinum in 2008. Rimes breakout pop hit “Can’t Fight The Moonlight” would go all the way to #11 on the Billboard Pop Singles Chart.
The DVD is filled with bonuses including a LeAnn Rimes music video, commentaries, extra scenes, trailer, and more. The film was also directed by big-time Hollywood director Jerry Bruckheimer.
In all a fun film, with great music, and characters the audience can enjoy.
Coyote Ugly – Dolores G. Tebo –
The show was very cute, loved the music, the story line was
very good……… Thanks
It’s ladies’ night all the time…not much else – Del Keyes – In the middle of the Sunshine
This is one of those titles that I find difficult to review. I don’t hate “Coyote Ugly” but I’m not exactly liking it all the same, and that’s the basis of my opinion. If you want to see girls having a wild and crazy time or you’re the type of eccentric person who wanted something feisty to watch with friends on popcorn night, you’ll probably enjoy this movie. This movie is loud, claustrophobic, and out-of-control, if this what occurs in the real Coyote Ugly location, then I got wonder about the safety hazards if girls can dance on barstills and lit the still on fire and dance on it like a tribsman. Of course, it could all be exaggerated for the sake of movie magic.
Naming the Coyotes at heart, the leader of the pack is Lili (Maria Bello), a character I kinda like because she’s direct while being level-headed, which granted is what a leader is suppose to be. Zoe (Tyra Banks), gets the distinction of not appearing as often as the other girls. Rachel is the self-proclaimed b-word although she’s quite modest for what she is, and Cammie is the flirty type, which at least that girl lived up to her status; these two shared a special distinction of not knowing who they are before looking it up on IMDb, and even then I forgot their names. The final Coyote is the newbie and main protagonist, Violet (Piper Perabo), who got out of the Jersey to be an aspiring songwriter in New York, which failed attempts, broken dreams and meeting her love interest led to her discovering the bar and joining in. Violet bugs me, her sweet and innocent attitude comes as rather phony, and she’s not exactly hard to please. When she met her love interest, she played the “You’re not what I’m looking for, get away from me, creepy” gag for only a few minutes before she let that guy easily get into her heart and her ‘cage’. The romantic sub-plot between those two was cheesy and patchy, almost contrived, but I know some people eat this stuff up from “Gossip Girl” or “Laguna Beach” so this aspect is of acquired taste…of low expectations.
Since I saw the unrated version and never the original, I have some thoughts on what I think are added scenes. One scene has Violet exposing her chest during a love-making scene; visible boobs is enough to know it’s an added scene and I don’t think the scene had to be extended just for that, and plus, why Violet’s boobs and not Lili’s boobs (just as a preference)? Another scene has the Coyotes compete in a baseball match, and Cammie stripped while on batting to ogle her competition. She only exposed her bra and panties, but I had to think this is added for this version, but the entire scene revolved around pointless, almost insulting eye-candy.
Calling “Coyote Ugly” shameless is rather apt. All these girls are just strutting their stuff, and though they keep the movie exciting, I eventually got sick of their promiscuity. It’s a case of ‘too much of a good thing’, and besides almost of the gals are really that interesting. But the movie knows what it wants to show, so it’s not bad or good. It just is.
